The long and winding road

Day 543.

I’ll tell you a little secret. Sometimes I find an image so compelling or enchanting I build a post around it – rather than the other way around. The image in this post was taken in Kyoto, Japan — featuring the famous Statue Stairs. To see so many statues of monks gathered in a group feels serene and wise. I want to climb those stairs in the hope that I’ll become more enlightened.

So how do I tie this image back into a post? Sobriety. I’ve snapped myself out of numbness. I am woke enough now to get back on to the road of discovery in my life. I’m no longer sitting on the sidelines numb. If we choose woke instead of numb, we are choosing actively seeking rather than passively waiting.

I’m on my journey. There’s also your journey. Humanity’s journey. Other beings on this planet, they’re on a journey too.  We’re all on a journey. A long and winding road of a journey 🙂

  1. Entirely lovely…especially this (incredibly wise reflection):

“If we choose woke instead of numb, we are choosing actively seeking rather than passively waiting.”

I am choosing actively…finally…”the anti-numb” approach to life and living. I would love to tattoo all of your posts inside my brain…forever.
