Don’t you love a happy ending?

Day 481.

“Never give up, no matter how things look,
or how long they take.
Don’t quit before the miracle.”

—Anne Lamott

I love her… LOVE Anne’s writing … and she’s a sober lady for a long time. And she has just married a marvellous sounding man… and I’m just so happy for her!  Even though we don’t know each other, I feel that joy and happiness friends and family feel for those they love. It also gives me hope. We’re the same age, and it gives me the courage to hope that I too can find that same sort of relationship.

The just-married couple left the grove to the Van Morrison song, “Into the Mystic.” Meg Lundstrom, a longtime friend of the bridegroom, said afterward, “I’ve been telling my friends that the smartest person I know is marrying the kindest person I know but I don’t know which is which.”

Isn’t that just the loveliest thing to have said about you?

  1. Such a great story, thank you for sharing! Love the part about making your own life fabulous and maybe you’ll find someone who’s doing the same thing. Wonderful! And they walked into the scene with “Ripple” by the Grateful Dead playing! ❤️❤️❤️ I’ve only read Bird By Bird, loved it! I’ll be checking out more of her work for sure.
