“99 Bottles of Beer” is an anonymous 1950-ish reverse counting song often sung by children on long bus trips, family vacations, etc. A popular instrument of torture for children to inflict on parents and Scout Leaders everywhere LOL
Are you of a certain age — and remember that song? How we must have driven our parents batty singing that relentlessly in the back seat of the car on long trips! LOL
May I present to you my latest landmark in sobriety:
I have avoided 1,000 glasses of wine!
That looks major when I write it down!
I’m pretty blown away by that number. Can you imagine if I had to sing the entire 1,000 to the tune of 99 Bottles of Beer? Or you had to listen to me? I won’t – you’re welcome 🙂
Go me! Yay me! (thanks fun app EasyQuit – lots of great ones, but the simplicity of this one works for me.)
I am noticing that acknowledging and owning these milestones does make it easier to stay on track.
P.S. I signed up for the gym yesterday – blog on that coming tomorrow!
